Get the Look: Vanessa Hudgens

I really love Vanessa Hudgens' bohemian fashion style, so I thought I'd show you similar ways to wear her looks. Most of her actual clothes are very expensive, so once again I went for similar style not exact looks. Hope you enjoy!
For this one, I went with similar patterns. I have on this maxi dress from American Eagle. It has a bit slit in the middle front. The back is really neat because it is laced up. I opted for a pair of sandals rather than her heals. These sandals are just white with studs on them from Delia's.
I found these pants at Rue 21 and was so excited because they are very similar! They are wide legged flowy pants with daisies on them. I really like the pants because they almost look like a skirt when you're standing. I couldn't find a matching shirt, so I just went for a plain black crop top from PacSun. I finished it with simple black sandals from Target.
I thought I would chose a casual look as well. I have on an old shirt that my sister cut into a hi-low tank top. I added a long beaded necklace. Over that, I have a crocheted fringe vest. It is super long and I love it. I found it at Rue 21. I have on a pair of flared jeans from PacSun and my brown wedges from Kmart.
Saved the best for last! I sort of switched the colors on this, instead of a white skirt and black top, I had a black skirt and white top. The maxi floral skirt is from PacSun, and I love it soo much! It is a really soft comfy material. I paired this with a white crop top from Aeropostale and added my black Target sandals. You could add a necklace, hat, and sunglasses for a more exact look.

I hope you guys liked my take on a few of Vanessa's outfits! Let me know who you want to see next! I will be starting school before this goes up, so I can't promise that I'll continue to post every week, but I will try my hardest!

Favorite Outfits of the Summer

Sadly, summer is coming to an end. I thought this would be a great time to show you the outfits that I loved this summer. some of these you may have seen in older blogposts, but some are new.
Now this first one, you have seen, but I loved it! I'm wearing this lacy shirt with a peter pan collar (TJ Maxx) over a pair of high waisted shorts. These shorts were worn so many times this summer! They are soo comfortable and can be worn in so many different outfits. Not to mention they were fairly cheap because I got them from Forever 21. I wore this outfit with my cream Converse, another staple this summer.
Unfortunately where I live some days were rather chilly, so much so that I needed a jacket. This was my go-to outfit for days like those. This shirt (PacSun) is super cute; it has a scooter on it and says VamaƱos (Let's go) which I found adorable. I added this green button up (American Eagle) for warmth. It has a neat texture, it's almost chambray. I wore my favorite skinny jeans from PacSun and once again my Converse.
This outfit was also great for slightly chillier days. I love this dress, it's so flowy and reminds me of Free People (but much cheaper!) I got it at Rue 21 and fell in love with it. I put on a simple pair of tights under it and added my black sandals. For accessories, I've been loving my choker necklaces. I made lots and also found my old one.
For this one, I wore this white crop top (Aeropostale). I love how it is textured. I paired it with this tribal print skirt (with pockets!) that my sister got me from Target. I added my white sandals (Delia's) and finished the look with a yellow necklace (Rue 21). I love the color combination of yellow and blue, so I do it as often as I can.
This is the same crop top as before, but in redish coral. I wore this one with these floral shorts also from Aeropostale. Like I said, I love just throwing on these Converse, they go with practically everything. I added a blue necklace (Rue 21) this time and I was done!
Now for my favorite!! I threw this together one day to go to the farmshow with my friend and fell in love with it! I wore a simple white teeshirt (Rue 21) tucked into my dark wash high-waisted shorts (Forever 21) and added this cocoon sweater that I also got from Rue 21. I paired it with my favorite pair of sandals that I found at a Peebles when we were on vacation. (We stopped there just to use the bathroom). They are strappy with stones going up the center. To balance out the plainness of the shirt, I added this long necklace and also my black tattoo choker.

I hope you guys liked my favorite outfits! Let me know what you've been loving! I'll see you next week! Be sure to follow my Instagram and Tumblr!

Get the Look: Taylor Swift

I wanted to start a little mini series. I'll probably intersperse these with other blog posts. To start off, I chose Taylor Swift. Now my aim in this, is to get similar style without spending a ton of money to get exact looks. This being said, I know that my looks don't look exactly like hers, but that was what I wanted.
For this first look, I went with a simple black and gray striped dress from H&M, but I know that Forever 21 has some right now that are $8.50 I believe. I added a pair of black knee socks (Kohl's) and a pair of simple black heels. That's what I mean about style not exact look. If you prefer flats, wear flats. If you want to add a belt, add a belt. Fashion shouldn't be about coping someone else. Fashion is expressing yourself, so you can take inspiration from others, but make sure you make it your own!

For this look, I chose a similar style of dress, but mine has stripes (and pockets!). I know that Taylor wears a lot of stripes, so she might have worn something like this anyway. My dress is from the Bethany Mota line in Aeropostale, and my black heals are from H&M.

Speaking of stripes, I have this casual outfit. I paired a super soft long sleeve striped shirt (Ross) with this gray shorts (Aeropostale), and finished it off with these comfy wedges from Kmart. I love how casual this is, but the wedges dress it up just a little.
Pleated skirts! Okay so for this first version of this look, I went with a knee length black pleated skirt (Goodwill) paired with a basic white teeshirt (Rue 21). I added a pair of gray flats and I was good.
For this version, I wore a basic black teeshirt (Body Central) with a coral pleated skirt (Plato's Closet) and I dressed it up with my black heals.

Let me know which look was your favorite, and if there are any celebrities you'd like to see this for! Until next week!

Back To School

For this week, I decided I would show you a few Back to School looks. I know that some schools have already started classes, but where I live we still have a few more weeks. I thought I would try to show you several styles. Now keep in mind, these are my interpretations; you might not categorize them the same way that I do.
For the first look, I went with a sophisticated look. I got this really cute dress suit from JCPenny's. I wanted to make it a little more girly and less teachery by adding this bright cardigan. I finished it off with a pair of flats. I incorporated two different shades of pink/purple because I liked how they looked together.
For this next look I went for girly, but also laid back. I paired this floral skirt (Aeropostale) with a maroon tshirt (Target). The shirt says Chic Geek and I thought it was super cute. I just added simple black sandals to complete the look.
For a more preppy look, I chose this mustard colored knee length pencil skirt (Ross). I layered a basic gray cami with a tweed vest. To add a bit of contrast and color, I added a cobalt blue necklace. I wore these brown wedges with the look. I know what you're thinking, Wedges to school?? Well these wedges from Kmart are the comfiest shoe ever! I have trouble in heals, but not these. I honestly wore these for a week straight to school last year and had no problems!
For a simple but a little edgy look, I wore a basic pair of flared jeans (PacSun) with a concert Tee. This one is from the Ingrid Michaelson Concert. This is a great way to show everyone what you did over the summer! I finished it off with a pair of Converse and a black choker necklace.

For a Bohemian flair, I wore this flowy white dress with black embroidering on the top(Rue 21). It has a slight hi-low look to it. I love how it fits because its not tight, but it fits in the right places. I just added my simple black sandals and I was ready to go!
For this last look, I did my interpretation on edgy/grunge, but I made it a bit more girly. I wore this plain black cami with white lace around the top (Forever 21) tucked into this floral maxi skirt (PacSun). To balance out the plainness of the top, I added a black choker and a long necklace (Aeropostale). Again I just wore my plain black sandals to finish the look.

I hope you enjoyed these looks. Let me know what your favorite style is! As school starts, I will continue to try to post every week, but I'm not going to promise anything! See you next week!
